The initiative of the Grancolombiano Polytechnic University Institution with the “Jaba Kagui” seedbed research on environmental management and bioeconomy aims to promote environmental education and economic development of vulnerable populations with the purpose of strengthening environmental peace and sustainability in society. The role of innovation in bioeconomy actions is fundamental in education, as an interactive process aimed at changing new paradigms in environmental improvements (methods, theories, prototypes, among others) and developing new sustainable products based on natural capital. In communities, we must ask ourselves: What is the impact of the bioeconomy in the process of environmental education, and what are its consequences on growth and development? The integration of environmental and bioeconomic principles and values also raises problems of inclusion in communities, especially those seeking peace in their territories. Hence, neutrality seems impossible to maintain to the extent that the bioeconomy is at the service of sustainability, especially in communities. The bioeconomy cannot be easily transformed into communities; it is important to build an infrastructure that would connect factories, companies, and universities, in short, to guarantee the sustainable use of biological materials. Biological innovation technologies should become the basis for the modernization and construction of a Colombian sustainable economy.
