This paper demonstrates the electrical attributes of ion-sensitive field effect transistor (ISFET) for the detection of pH changes of the solution by using the COMSOL Multiphysics software. The ionic species concentration available in the electrolyte can be recognized by the change in the applied gate voltage on account of interaction of ions with the gate dielectric. This change in the gate voltage will change the charge distribution that affects the threshold voltage of ISFET, leading to a change of the drain current. In this study, the targeted pH values i.e., pH = 6, pH = 7, pH = 8 have been taken for the sensitivity analysis.

摘要
