Detection of Multiple Smells Using Sensor Array
摘要
The Paper reports of detecting multiple smells in a mixture of odoriferous gases and/or vapours using a sensor array. Selectivity and sensitivity are the main parameters of the sensors used for odor detection. For detecting multiple odors, a number of sensors may be used in the form of array which is called a sensor array. In this report, we examined five sensors using specific target gases ethanol, methane, carbon mono oxide, air quality gas, and volatile organic compound, observing how each sensor responded to smells like smoke, pickle, curd, and alcohol. The sensor array is performing well in terms of detecting the given species. We recorded the ppm value of each sensor for different species, except for the volatile organic compound (VOC) sensor. We have recorded the response voltage values for the VOC sensor.
