Starting from an intersectional approach, this chapter presents a brief review of the structural and subjective factors that shape the migration experiences of LGBTIQ+ people from Central and South America. It also addresses the mental health conditions of this population and the barriers to care. The description shows how the gender perspective remains weak in most policies oriented toward migration, health, work, education, security, and the protection of the rights of LGBTIQ+ migrants. In this scenario, various collectives have emerged throughout America whose purpose is to work on the demand and defense of human rights for those in mobility situations. These collectives have also helped to counteract the effects of discrimination and violence encountered along the way, thus creating spaces of hospitality and accompaniment.
