Hardware Implementation of Two-Level Digital Frequency Synthesizer with Poisson Distribution of Output Pulses
摘要
The paper presents a new structure of a two-level digital frequency synthesizer, which enables the formation of an output pulse sequence with a Poisson distribution law, allowing for the dynamic adjustment of the average output frequency value. Using the proposed methodology, statistical characteristics of the output sequence of the synthesizer are investigated, and ranges of control code values that meet specified requirements are determined. The study demonstrates the possibility and convenience of using the synthesizer to simulate the output signals of dosimetric detectors, facilitating the design and calibration of dosimetric devices without the use of hazardous sources of radiation. In the future, there are plans to develop a frequency synthesizer with a Poisson distribution of output pulses based on other pseudo-random number generators, including shift registers with linear feedback connections, which will simplify the structure of synthesizers while ensuring specified statistical characteristics.
