The proposed development involving the utilization of information technologies in the form of a recommendation system for designers based on associative rules. The development is aimed at providing designers with free access to information related to their professional activities in the processes of designing industrial machinery and mechanisms. Proposed methods for organizing the study of the Apriori algorithm, illustrations of its functioning, identified shortcomings, and ways to improve it in terms of achieving expected results in increasing designers’ awareness, particularly by improving the efficiency of the algorithm. The object of the conducted research was the process of designing industrial machinery and mechanisms using the example of designing Maltese mechanisms. A program has been proposed that allows designers to receive recommendations to improve the performance of design processes based on associative rules. The scientific results obtained in the research emphasize the effectiveness of the proposed approach and open up the possibility of recommending the application of the system we have created for the quick and comfortable identification of associative design tools that contribute to the optimization and organization of work in company.
