In this chapter, the main steps for finding models for wind farms where control strategies at the plant level are tested using IODMD and EIODMD are shown. The methodology follows the system identification loop, a classical procedure used for model identification and validation. The procedure applied for IODMD and EIODMD is fully detailed in this chapter, so that in the upcoming chapters these can be readily applied to practical data from simulations to derive models.
