A solar gas turbine (SGT) involves complex multivariate interactions. Consequently, it requires robust design approaches. System design is an important process in the development of any technology. The procedure of designing solar gas turbines includes product specification, preliminary studies, thermodynamic design, aerodynamic design, mechanical design and controller design. These elements of the SGT system design are presented and discussed in this chapter.
