Scholarship on African studies have mirrored violence and how it shapes the political and security landscapes of Africa. In spite of what has been done so far, the critical role of ethnicity and religion in the protracted violent conflicts in Africa has continued to arouse discussion but with few attentions to Nigeria, especially regarding the potential it has in impacting others. How may the study on ethno-religious diversity management in Nigeria relate or become relevant to other African nations with similar issues of ethno-religious oriented violence? Using a systematic review of existing literature, this chapter, therefore, focuses on how the study or suggestion of ethno-religious diversity management in Nigeria may be useful in proffering solution to similar aspects of societal diversity that breed violent conflicts in other African countries. It is based on the assumption that conflict situations differ from clime to clime but the formula that works in resolving the one in a particular country can be helpful or at least give insight on how to resolve similar conflict(s) in another country. Besides, this chapter also gives the conclusion and suggests further research on the subject matter for future academic engagement.

摘要
