The Epilogue brings together critical reflections, moving beyond the book’s epistemological approach. At this point, the book sheds further light on one of its key contributions. This is to instil hope, as we reconstruct how we conceptualise, prevent and address violence attached to radical, hateful and extremist worldviews. This hope is found in power’s positive side and the tools that it gives us to build fairer and more holistic justice processes. The chapter also brings forth three components that are crucial in the implementation of innovative and positive prevention models and control measures such as RJiNEAR. The first component aims to awaken us from the sleep that the “politics of believe to belong” have put us. The second consists of six truths that we have silently ignored due to this deep sleep. In facing these truths, the chapter argues that first we must accept an element of self-responsibility in maintaining the vicious cycle of radicalised violence. This self-realisation can then expose the terrorist within and like any restorative justice dialogue allow us to enter into a process of transformation through cathartic pain. The third relates to the organic concept of community cohesion and how this is materialised through the shared spaces between restorative justice and human rights. While delivering these three components, the chapter reminds us of the need to continue growing restorative justice in the face of new realities, and with the opportunities offered by other disciplines such as positive psychology and positive criminology. The Epilogue is a celebration of restorative justice's marriage with these two disciplines, as well as a reminder that a new radical approach to violence prevention will only work if we truly surrender ourselves to it.

摘要
