Soft Tissue and Biomechanics
摘要
Revision hip arthroplasty requires understanding of basic hip biomechanics and management of soft tissues. This includes knowledge of native hip mechanics and options available to adjust these parameters that are within the control of the surgeon. It is critical for the revision surgeon to accommodate the biomechanics of the hip and other forces affecting it, including the spine-pelvic relationship. Proper surgical planning and the ability to adjust intraoperatively are critical for success.
