Social Media Marketing Strategies for the Digital Era: A Study of Brand Engagement Techniques of Hypermarkets
摘要
Marketing plans have changed dramatically in the digital era and now centre online and digital marketing approaches. With an especially eye towards brand engagement approaches on Instagram, this paper explores the efficiency of social media marketing (SMM) strategies for hypermarkets. The study, which uses a qualitative, exploratory approach, looks at material from three main supermarket brands in Bahrain to learn the strategies, difficulties, and measures used to include customers. The results show that, particularly for basic home goods, discount-driven and urgency-based content is rather successful in grabbing consumer attention. Long-term brand loyalty may be hampered, though, by an overly dependence on these strategies. To create closer consumer relationships, the study emphasises the need of a more diverse approach including interactive aspects, influencer relationships, and narrative. By means of this multifarious engagement strategy, hypermarkets can create a well-rounded social media presence that promotes both instantaneous encounters and long-lasting commitment.
