Millennial Metamorphosis: Exploration of Lifestyle, Attitude and Purchase Intentions on Semi-prepared Food
摘要
The study investigates the relationship between lifestyle and the intention to purchase semi-prepared foods, with attitude as a moderating factor. Specifically, it aims to elucidate how lifestyle influences purchase intentions and how attitude mediates between these variables. This study used a structured questionnaire to administer the survey. Data were collected in person for the study, resulting in the return of 304 completed questionnaires. The survey was conducted in Klang Valley targeting millennial consumers, including both current and prospective customers of semi-prepared food products. The study reveals that health and convenience significantly influence purchasing semi-prepared foods, while cost-efficient and nutritional knowledge does not. However, when attitude is introduced as a mediator between cost-efficiency and nutritional knowledge on purchase intention, it shows a positively significant impact. This underscores the crucial role of attitude as an intermediary in connecting lifestyle attributes to the purchase intention for semi-prepared foods. This study explores attitude as a mediating factor between lifestyle attributes and the purchase intention for semi-prepared foods. This unique approach adds a fresh perspective to the field of consumer behavior and the food industry.
