It has been proven that counteracting the detrimental potential of hybrid threats requires substantiating the criteria for the intensity of their destructive impact on national economic security in order to further assess and minimize the risks of their realization for the state that is the object of hybrid aggression. The essence of the basic concepts of riskology is considered and their relationship is detailed in the context of responding to threats to the functioning and development of the socio-economic system. Based on the results of the analysis of the specifics of hybrid threats, their key characteristics are systematized and the prerequisites for the escalation of the destructive impact on national economic security are determined. The essence of cumulative and synergistic effects in the context of hybrid confrontation was considered and the multiplicative nature of their occurrence was proved. It is substantiated that the level of its intensity, which is determined by the probability of threat realization, potential losses, and the possibility of synergistic and cumulative effects should be recognized as an integrating characteristic of the destructive impact of hybrid threats on national economic and social security.
