Impact of IT Outsourcing on SMEs: A Focus on Operational Costs and Sales Revenue
摘要
Business executives are under significant pressure to add value to their organizations, particularly by identifying ways to reduce operational costs. Outsourcing continues to be an effective strategy for achieving these goals, though careful consideration is crucial before implementation. This study investigates the impact of IT outsourcing on small and medium enterprises (SMEs), specifically examining operational costs and sales revenue. It explores the popularity of IT outsourcing and the motivations behind businesses choosing to outsource their IT functions. Through quantitative analysis, the study assesses operational costs and factors influencing sales revenue in SMEs. The study’s findings indicate that there is no correlation between operational costs and sales revenue in the context of IT outsourcing among SMEs. As a result, it is recommended that SMEs closely monitor other business drivers prior to implementing IT outsourcing strategies.
