Pediatric and adolescent lung disorders are characterized under different categories including congenital, infectious, inflammatory, and diseases associated with chromosomal abnormalities or systemic disorders. The pulmonary diseases are also based on the anatomy and are associated with airways, parenchyma/alveoli, interstitium, lymphatics, and vessels.
