Economic sustainability creates the long-term economic development of a company or nation while also managing its activities’ environmental, social, and cultural aspects. It is about balancing economic growth and generating profit with the impact on the environment and people. Despite the requirement that corporate/business sustainability must be anchored in the economic, environmental, and social framework, almost all sources concentrate only on economic factors, and the environment is not acknowledged as a fundamental extension of the business, including all its operational and strategic areas of a corporation.
