Based on this threefold theoretical framework and theories of practice, the significance of the research interest is detailed in elaborating on the relevance to deal with the issue of sustainability in the media action field and the social practices and powers that underpin it. Three research questions are then formulated on the discursive construction of sustainability, the practical reflection on the situational validity of the construct and potential consequences for conceptual adjustments.
