Successful management of oil fields and/or gas fields requires models of present and possible future changes of reservoir conditions. This is achieved by assessment of pore fluid and pressure distributions during the lifetime of the reservoirs. Several hydrocarbon-producing fields have used time-lapse, repeat or 4D seismic data in the last two decades to map the pore fluid movements in the reservoirs and guide the infill drilling and/or injection wells.

摘要

Successful management of oil fields and/or gas fields requires models of present and possible future changes of reservoir conditions. This is achieved by assessment of pore fluid and pressure distributions during the lifetime of the reservoirs. Several hydrocarbon-producing fields have used time-lapse, repeat or 4D seismic data in the last two decades to map the pore fluid movements in the reservoirs and guide the infill drilling and/or injection wells.
