Well-to-seismic tie(s) is an important step in seismic interpretation and inversion applications. Quantitative uses of seismic amplitudes require registration between the primary seismic reflection events and well log data. The seismic wavelet provides this link. In conventional stratigraphic and structural seismic interpretation, the well ties provide an assessment especially in the geologically complex areas that the seismic data is properly imaged. Well ties relate the well log measurements and the reservoir properties estimated from them to the seismic amplitudes. This helps to quantify the strong or bright and flat spot seismic anomalies.

摘要

Well-to-seismic tie(s) is an important step in seismic interpretation and inversion applications. Quantitative uses of seismic amplitudes require registration between the primary seismic reflection events and well log data. The seismic wavelet provides this link. In conventional stratigraphic and structural seismic interpretation, the well ties provide an assessment especially in the geologically complex areas that the seismic data is properly imaged. Well ties relate the well log measurements and the reservoir properties estimated from them to the seismic amplitudes. This helps to quantify the strong or bright and flat spot seismic anomalies.
