The research aims to substantiate the possibilities of service support for IT specialists for the sustainable development of Industry 4.0 in the context of greening the economy. During the research, the authors used praxismetric (study of regulatory documentation) and theoretical methods (analysis of Russian and foreign literature, generalization, comparison, forecasting, and pedagogical modeling). According to the strategic plan of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of digital transformation of the ecology and environmental management industry, one of the main tasks of changes in this industry is to regulate the creation of a unified digital space for solving problems of ecology and environmental management. Thus, to achieve this task, it is necessary to train specialists competent in the field of digital technologies and in the field of ecology and environmental management. The research discusses the need for environmental education for engineering students. It is shown that environmental education is an integral part of the professional education of IT specialists in the context of sustainable development of Industry 4.0 to achieve greening of the economy. The authors analyzed promising advanced digital technologies, including massive open online courses (MOOCs), neural networks for generating text and program code, git, and proctoring. The authors propose using these technologies as service support for the training of IT specialists for the sustainable development of Industry 4.0 in the context of greening the economy.
