The real threat of an environmental crisis is created by increased technogenic impact on the natural environment, which leads to disruption of the natural balance due to the negative influence of factors such as discharges into surface and groundwater, emissions of harmful substances into the air, deterioration of the quality of land, water and forest resources, and global warming. When the ecological balance is disturbed, the natural environment cannot restore or recreate the benefits taken from it. Ecological degradation leads to unsuitable habitats for living organisms and contributes to the development of a deep environmental crisis. The importance of harmonizing the “Nature-Society-Human” system is beyond doubt. The introduction of ISO 14000 environmental management systems in Russian aviation industry enterprises is one of the ways to solve environmental problems. The ISO 14000 environmental management system is an effective tool for managing the harmful impacts of the economic activities of aviation enterprises on the environment. The need to use an environmental management system in the aviation industry is due to the importance of complying with environmental safety requirements now and in the future. This system will allow aviation industry enterprises to reduce the level of harmful impact on the environment and systemically monitor the enterprise’s environmental policy. The introduction of environmental goals into the strategy of aviation enterprises is a key priority in matters related to environmental protection.
