The research analyzes and provides an expert assessment of the level of scientific support and the approach to the application and use of a service-oriented model, as well as the digital maturity of Russia’s agro-industrial complex (AIC). The research aims to identify key trends and patterns in the innovation processes and design a strategic map that clearly and systemically reveals the cause-and-effect relationships and the influence of indicators on operational, tactical, and strategic goals. The research presents the prerequisites for creating a service-oriented approach in the context of its applicability to the digital transformation of AIC enterprises based on research by Russian and international scholars. As a result of the research, the authors developed a strategic map outlining the key domains of the service-oriented approach architecture. This map includes the organization’s core mission, represented by business strategy, the activities defined by business processes, the standard areas and types of software categorized under application architecture, and the data architecture that ensures the system’s functionality. The presented methodology aims to comprehensively transition to a targeted model for ensuring the rational use and application of digital technologies, with the goal of increasing the digital maturity of AIC enterprises, thereby enhancing the economic efficiency of core, auxiliary, and supporting sectors.
