Startups as a Pillar of Innovation and Progress
摘要
The research aims to highlight the significance of startups, their roles in new innovative development of economic policies, and differences in cross-national approaches to the definition, identification, and legal regulations of startups. Moreover, the research proposes theoretical and methodological solutions and addresses them, offering practical solutions by using statistical, theoretical, comparative, and systemic analysis, complemented by methods such as clustering and grouping, tabular representation, and econometrics. The authors used two methods for econometric analysis. One calculates the country-specific relationship between spending on education and other firms, with the aim of finding trends. The second calculates the annual correlation between R&D spending and new firms across all countries yearly, providing a comprehensive statistic. One of the conclusions drawn is that this relationship between education and research expenditures, gross domestic product (GDP), and the entry of new firms highlights the important role of exit industries under emphasis on facilitating innovation and sustainable development in a country. Startups play an important role in commercializing innovation, ensuring market integration, and contributing significantly to long-term economic growth. As a result, the authors found that startups are engaged in innovation and FDI in expanding and improving their activities based on their policy strategies. The authors propose a specific research direction to empathize startups as a pillar of innovation, economic progress, and prosperity.
