The quest for environmental justice, which came to the fore in the USA in the 1960s as a search for the environmental rights of the poor and excluded, has gradually taken its place among environmental movements on a global scale. Although approaches vary by country, environmental justice is linked to environmental rights, environmental law, and environmental activism in general. Environmental justice is about the reflections of inequality and poverty created by the globalization process on living spaces and the environment. Economic relations between countries around the world bring with them both economic and ecological imbalances. Environmental justice is among the issues on which the development of literature is important under conditions where more and more environmental problems are experienced nowadays. EJ Atlas or Environmental Justice Atlas is a map with worldwide data documenting environmental conflicts mapped by non-governmental organizations on a voluntary basis. In this study, a review of the events (environmental conflicts) documented in the environmental justice atlas related to the Himalayan Region will be made. Thus, the Himalayan Region will be discussed in the context of environmental justice. The study will be developed with data scanning and literature scanning methods.
