This was a patient with melanoma that developed optic neuritis 11 days after second cycle of pembrolizumab treatment. Patient improved with intravenous steroid and withholding pembrolizumab, although vision did not return to baseline post treatment, patient’s visual field and optic disc edema improved. The decision was made not to rechallenge with pembrolizumab. Patient is still undergoing different cancer treatment and was discharged to follow-up with local ophthalmologist.
