Appendicitis Post Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor Therapy
摘要
We presented a male patient in his 50s with metastatic prostate cancer on treatment with ipilimumab who presented with 10 days of abdominal pain and was found to have perforated appendicitis with abscess. Given clinical stability, reassuring physical exam and laboratory workup, the patient was managed conservatively with antibiotics and without surgery or abscess drainage. Interval CT imaging on antibiotic treatment showed improvement in intrabdominal findings.
