Using IT Learning Tools to Support Teachers for Integrating AI into Education
摘要
The article summarises the experience of creating and implementing the software tools, methods and approach gained within the international project “V4 Educational Academic Portal for Integrating IT into Education”, EDUPORT (2022–2023), and provides new insights for using them. Educational software WPadV4 developed in the project (author S.Svetsky) proved to be a promising tool for creating educational packages for teachers. It is possible to produce the packages automatically. The article analyses the prospects for further implementing the project results aiming at integrating AI into education. The sphere of mathematics is among the most challenging because using AI sometimes gives surprising results. You can solve some not-so-easy tasks in one click, while others may contain severe errors. Teachers face the challenge of modernising the learning methods that have not changed for years. They need to select and compare dozens of learning tasks considering the possible impact of AI-based solvers. The idea is to use IT tools to make different learning packages for teachers’ support. The educational packages for teachers contain a lot of patterns for solving mathematical problems with AI using the Chat GPT, Bing and Copilot in the study's outcome. Teachers may use these patterns to select the proper learning tasks for students, compare the learning results, and evaluate the student's performance. The proposed tool helps teachers select and evaluate the learning tasks according to the level of complexity, improve teaching methods, and support the assessment process.
