Taking into consideration the complexity of energy problems and the need to solve them at the state level, the implementation of innovative approaches in the training of specialists in the field of renewable energy is becoming an urgent problem. The purpose of the given research is to determine promising ways of training specialists, majoring in the field of renewable energy in the conditions of blended learning to meet the requirements of the regional economy. The analysis of the existing practice of training specialists in the field of renewable energy was carried out, where the advantages and disadvantages of this process were identified. The needs of the regional economy for highly qualified personnel in the field of renewable energy were determined, and the needs of the labor market in the field of renewable energy were analyzed in order to adapt educational programs to modern requirements and trends, correspondence between these needs and specialist training programs was established. It has been established that training, focused on practical skills has its own characteristics that distinguish it from more conventional, theoretically-oriented training methods. These include an emphasis on the practical application of knowledge, the integration of theoretical concepts with practical skills, and close relationship with regional industry. Ways of improving the educational program of training future specialists in the field of renewable energy were proposed, which were introduced into the educational process of the Vinnytsia National Technical University. The developed author’s approach was summarized in the form of a model for the formation of professional competence of future specialists in the field of renewable energy, which contributes to the spread of the proposed innovations in higher education institutions.
