The present research examines the digital competences of applicants for vocational technical instructor training in relation to socioeconomic status. The measuring instrument of the research is a self-developed questionnaire, which we use as part of the new admission procedure for applicants to the vocational technical instructor (BSc) program, introduced from 2021. Our sample consists of responses from applicants for admission in the last two academic years and the current academic year. In the research, we seek answers to the following questions: 1. What is the socio-economic background of the candidates?; 2. What are their ideas about and future plans for learning?; 3. What is the level of deve-lopment of their digital competencies? The results of the research contribute to the continuous renewal of the educational strategies of technical instructor students and the development of the methodology of higher education. The results of their attitudes towards the use of material and IT tools in the context of SES indicators contribute to the evaluation and, if necessary, the transformation of existing forms of learning organization. The results of each dimension of digital competencies determine the introduction of new digital methods.

摘要
