Concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) structures are commonly used in the construction of arch bridges due to their unique advantages. The joints connecting the chord and brace members are crucial for the safety of CFST bridges. While welding has traditionally been used for these connections, bolted connections are becoming viable alternatives in challenging environments where on-site welding is not feasible. This paper presents recent research advancements in the tensile behavior of individual blind bolt in CFST structures and explores the use of demountable K-joints formed by CFST chords and circular hollow section (CHS) braces connected through blind bolts. Additionally, the feasibility of the new design is evaluated by comparing the overall behavior of the bolted joints with traditional welded ones.
