This article describes the importance of developing sustainability strategies and practices in society and organizations. The approaches necessary to promote sustainability at various levels are elucidated through the study of scientific articles. Key topics include resource management practices, raw materials, and human capital. Furthermore, the impact of implementing these practices is also analyzed. This work introduces a framework with three levels—strategic, tactical, and operational—that structures the findings and practical applications of current sustainability strategies. The strategic level focuses on long-term goals and policies, the tactical level addresses mid-term actions and processes, and the operational level deals with day-to-day practices. Results indicate significant improvements in efficiency, cost savings, and environmental impact when this framework is applied. Through critical analyses and practical insights, this work aims to provide readers with a comprehensive understanding of effective sustainability practices, emphasizing their importance in addressing societal and organizational challenges.
