Digital transformation, driven by the digital revolution and globalization, has become essential for businesses, as they must constantly adapt to global technological advances to maintain their competitiveness. However, this process has also highlighted a digital gap in the labor market, where opportunities vary depending on workers’ skills. Knowledge-intensive and technology-driven companies seek highly qualified personnel, prioritizing skills and abilities necessary for intellectual roles rather than routine tasks. Therefore, the objective of this research is to determine the influence of the degree of worker’s skills in technology-based companies in Sinaloa on the distribution of their salaries, considering the impact of automation and technological advancements. This study, of a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptive nature, selected companies that use characteristic technologies of Industry 4.0 in Sinaloa.
