Yoga as Embodied Mindfulness: An Introduction
摘要
This chapter provides an introduction and broad conceptual overview of the text Yoga as Embodied Mindfulness. It begins by exploring the connections between embodiment, yoga, and mindfulness, incorporating a brief historical perspective on these concepts. Each concept is discussed in greater detail, with explanations of their theoretical foundations and definitions. An overview of embodiment research is also provided, starting with a definition and discussion of positive embodiment, supported by theoretical and empirical citations. The next section introduces the organizational structure of the text, which consists of four parts. The first part defines key concepts and clarifies important ideas. The second part focuses on measurement and research protocols. The third part reviews research applications across various domains, and the final part examines the practical implications of offering yoga through research and in community settings. The chapter concludes with a section that bridges the content and calls for further research in this area.
