This paper systematically examines the current state, trends, and influencing factors of the financial technology (Fintech) industry in Southeast Asia. The research reveals that the region’s rapid economic growth and thriving e-commerce sector have provided fertile ground for Fintech innovation. Despite significant differences in population, economy, and culture among Southeast Asian countries, there is a universal need for modernized financial services. The rapid improvement of internet infrastructure and the rise of new economic sectors have created favorable conditions for the development of Fintech services such as mobile payments and online lending. This study also analyzes the differences in Fintech development between traditional economic centers like Singapore and emerging markets such as Indonesia and the Philippines. The research indicates that Fintech companies expanding into Southeast Asian markets need to thoroughly understand local policy environments, establish localized partnerships, and effectively integrate into local cultures.
