Player Modeling Exemplified
摘要
This chapter complements the more theoretical discussion of player modeling from the previous chapters by presenting a number of relevant and diverse examples of player modeling in some further detail. The examples presented in this chapter are drawn from purely academic studies as well as from AAA games. They range from learning embeddings to cluster players in Tomb Raider: Underworld (Eidos Interactive 2008), to predicting toxic player behavior in For Honor (Ubisoft 2017) to modeling player experience from pixel inputs in multiple games. The intent is to give a variety of examples that illustrate some of the rich variety of player modeling approaches that are available.
