This chapter outlines research perspectives of landscape research interested in the experience of landscapes, building on the concept of atmospheres. It does not primarily start from an understanding of atmospheres as entities, but from the conception of human sensuality and corporeality underlying the concept of atmospheres. After sketching this conception, we outline four research perspectives that investigate the experience of landscapes as part of a living encounter with them.
