Political Geography and Landscape
摘要
The concept of landscape was and is regularly political, for example when it comes to what is repeatedly referred to as the ‘destruction of landscape’ by wind turbines or when citizens’ initiatives seek to participate in political processes or express their wishes in this area. The handbook article sketches central lines of development of geopolitics and political geography in Germany as a basis for a presentation of current research approaches. It briefly illustrates how the notion of landscape can be analyzed from a political-geographical perspective using a constructivist approach.
