Furthermore, landscapes are seen as a potential that can be capitalized for the development of regions. The focus here is on the qualities of landscapes as soft location factors, which are equally important in terms of economy and population. In the course of the sustainability discourse, landscapes finally become the projection surface and action space for sustainable development strategies, through which influence is attempted to be exerted on spatial development.
