Different theoretical perspectives in landscape research have opened up new scientific approaches to the theme of ‘landscape’. At the same time, however, the ‘blind spot’ of these approaches becomes clear, namely the non-consideration of the material beyond the capture of constitutional-theoretical conditions, discursive negotiations, and symbolic attributions and charges. The Actor-Network Theory aims not only to redefine the role of the material in the social, but to offer a perspective that completely abolishes dichotomies between material and cultural, human and nature. The potential of this theory is exemplified and explored using a specific example.
