Introduction
摘要
This chapter provides a thorough overview of cloud computing, including its core ideas, service models, deployment techniques, and difficulties with resource management. It follows the development of cloud computing and looks at public, private, hybrid, and community cloud deployments in addition to the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) models. The chapter explores the main barriers to cloud adoption, such as resource optimization, cost management, and data security. Resource management receives a lot of attention, and load balancing, resource scaling, and job scheduling strategies are being explored. In addition to introducing important performance measures like makespan, resource utilization, energy efficiency, and security in VM allocation. The chapter presents a comprehensive taxonomy of resource management techniques while connecting fundamental cloud computing concepts with advanced strategies to illuminate both current capabilities and future directions.
