According to (Dados and Connell, Contexts 11:12–13, 2012), the phrase ‘Global SouthGlobal South‘ refers broadly to the regions of Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. It denotes regions outside of Europe and North America that are mostly (not all) low-income and which are often politically or culturally marginalised. The Global SouthGlobal South, home to most of the world’s population and some of its most biodiverse regions, stands at the frontline of the climate crisis.
