This concluding chapter of the book Shakespeare in Malawi: Power and Performance draws together the themes and issues that have been explored throughout the book. Building on this information and based on all the data gathered, I pose a definition of the term Malawian Shakespeare so that this form of performance has a clear place marker in the academic literature pertaining to Global Shakespeare. The chapter finishes with a discussion as to what the future of Shakespeare in Malawi might look like.
