Finite Difference Method for Problem of Forced Vibrations of Rod

The paper deals with forced vibrations of rods. Transverse distributed vertical load is applied. In the longitudinal direction, the rod is stretched by a concentrated force. The technical theory for bending vibrations of beams is involved. The flat cross-section hypothesis is applied. Bends and angles of rotation of sections are small values. The longitudinal axis deformation is not taken into account. Longitudinal rod fibers do not press on each other. Longitudinal force does not change during time fluctuations. Oscillating rods are now widely used in robotic and mechatronic systems. Rod oscillations can be used to create walking robots. Oscillating rods can be realized with electromagnetic, piezoelectric or other types of batteries. One example of the use of oscillating rods is the robot snake. Vibrating rods allow the robot to overcome obstacles and climb to different heights Oscillating rods can be used in various mechatronic systems. The solution to the problem is sought by the method of partitioning variables. The pivotally operated rod system is considered.
