1A Strategy for Managing the Safety of Work in Construction Based on BIM Solutions
摘要
The construction industry is one of the most traumatic industries. Despite the existence of strict safety regulations for all stages of construction work, violation of safety and labor protection requirements regularly leads to tragedies on construction sites. The high rates of injury to workers are also influenced by the fact that a large proportion of construction projects are largely individual. Therefore, in almost every project, non-standard situations arise when the implementation of some operations had no analogues in previous projects and, accordingly, was not sufficiently studied for the risk of injury to personnel. In addition, there are often cases when two relatively safe operations, but carried out at the same time in the same territory, repeatedly increase the risk of injury. The introduction of modern innovative technologies allows to avoid such problems, with the help of which, at the early stages of the design of construction facilities, it is possible to assess all risks related to the safety of processes and develop practical recommendations to minimize the likelihood of situations that may cause harm to the life and health of workers. Today, one of the main tools for improving the situation with ensuring industrial safety throughout the entire process of building construction and operation is building information modeling (BIM – Building Information Model). The article analyzes the current situation with occupational injuries in the world and in Russia, highlights the main causes of occupational injuries. To improve the situation, the main tasks have been identified, the solution of which will positively affect the situation with occupational injuries, and the need for the introduction of BIM technologies in the field of occupational safety and health to solve the tasks set has been justified. Recommendations for improving construction safety and reducing injuries based on BIM modeling at various stages of the project are proposed, which will be useful for both designers and construction specialists.
