Collaborating for Sustainability: A Case Study of Sustainable Fashion in New Zealand
摘要
Sustainability forms a prominent place in the contemporary agenda of government, business, and society in New Zealand. Sustainable Fashion (SF) is one industry that continues to progress towards greater sustainability. This chapter presents a case study of New Zealand SF firms that vary in both size and mission. A key lesson is that SF firms genuinely committed to sustainability and contributing towards a sustainable future need to embed sustainability in their firm’s core mission, implement sustainable practices, establish sustainable value chains, and develop sustainable collaborations by adhering to the principles of circularity, cooperating and co-creating with key stakeholders. Collaborating with regional partners and working towards the 2030 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals is an important aspect of how New Zealand SF firms operate.
