This chapter addresses the issue of unaccompanied minors in France. It shows that during the procedure for recognition of their minority, these young people appear to be stateless. After leaving their native country, a long period of non-recognition of their nationality opens up, which is conducive to many injustices and contempt. Despite the right to education for all children, these young people’s status is deeply limiting in access to the training that they desire. Moreover, the transition to adulthood also constitutes a real obstacle for these young people, whose future often depends on the goodwill of educators, local elected officials handling their files, or any other person of goodwill.
