Development and Research of a Cartographic Model for Municipal Planning as the Basis of an Intelligent Geoinformation System

The report substantiates the expediency of using geographic information systems (GIS) for planning the use of the territory by municipal authorities. One of the typical tasks of planning the use of the territory is the choice of locations of collective use centers (CUC) within the boundaries of the settlement. Examples of such CUC are multifunctional centers, shopping malls, wellness centers and others. At the same time, it is necessary to arrange these CUC in such a way as to ensure uniform, in terms of distance along the road network, public service areas. It is possible to simplify the solution of the problem of territorial planning by using the tools of spatial (vector and network) GIS analysis. A method is proposed for determining the locations of the CUC based on the random distribution of point objects within the boundaries of the territory of the settlement. A cartographic model for municipal territorial planning has been developed and studied. The advantage of this approach is the automation of the search process and the validity of the CUC locations.
