However, when these techniques are placed in the wrong minds or hands, they can be used for malicious purposes through the development of harmful products for use in criminal and terroristic activities. This chapter will explore the dark side of creativity and how adversarial agents are leveraging creativity methods to develop products for malign uses. It will discuss how the landscape of creative products in crime and terrorism is constantly evolving, creating challenges in the identification and response to these malicious activities. This chapter will detail three case studies that illustrate the diverse ways in which creativity manifests in harmful products. By examining these examples, we aim to uncover the techniques used by these actors, offering insights into how they exploit technological advancements and creative thinking to achieve their goals, as well as the challenges these pose for countermeasures and responses.
