Addressing concerns related to self-checkout systems require a delicate balance among security measures, time-efficiency and user experience. This project aims to ease the shopping experience by integrating a mobile application named “Checkout-Yourself” developed with Flutter framework, alongside a smart shopping cart. The inventory management can be remotely done synchronously when multiple customers are shopping. Safeguarding against theft is achieved through the incorporation of magnetostriction cards. This system securely uploads collected data to a reputable cloud service, thus ensuring decentralized data maintenance and robust security protocols. Ultimately, users are presented with a seamless payment process, enabling digital transactions or payment via debit cards. This cost-effective solution is simple in its design and holds the potential for implementation across medium to large-scale supermarkets, hence promising a streamlined and efficient shopping experience for consumers.
